The software that comes with your scanner enables the computer to communicate with the scanner. The software is on a CD-ROM in the scanner box.
Note: Use the Microsoft® Windows® version of the CD (not the Macintosh® version).
Follow the instructions for the type of scanner you are installing:
1. Download the Brother Quick Setup Guide for your scanner by clicking the appropriate link below.
2. Switch off the scanner and unplug it from the AC outlet. If you have already connected it to the computer, disconnect it.
3. Insert the CD into your CD drive and follow the instructions on your screen and in the Quick Setup Guide to install the scanner software.
Note that the Quick Setup Guide offers different sets of instructions depending on the following:
– the version of Windows installed on the computer
– the type of cable (USB or parallel interface) used to connect the scanner to the computer
4. Continue to follow the instructions on your screen and in the Quick Setup Guide to connect the scanner to the computer.
1. Download the Fujitsu Image Scanner Getting Started Guide for your scanner by clicking the appropriate link below.
2. Connect the USB cable that came with the scanner to the USB connector on the scanner.
3. Turn on the scanner.
4. Turn on your computer and log on to Windows.
5. Click Cancel to close the Found New Hardware Wizard dialog box.
6. Insert the CD into the CD drive.
7. On the Fujitsu Image Scanner Setup screen, click Install Products.
8. On the Install Products screen, select Twain Drive and follow the instructions on the screen to install the scanner software.
