Clever acts as a repository that stores data from a district's student information system, which is then shared with applications that are linked. A district might share different data with each unique application depending on the type of application.

Clever allows for automated rostering and Single Sign On (SSO) of users once a sync is successful. Clever allows for rostering of locations (buildings, sections), users (admins, teachers, and students) and all their associated attributes (names, IDs, gender, etc.) without having to manually input that data into the Elevate platform. 

Districts roster their data with Clever and then connect with the Elevate application through Clever. This connection establishes Clever as the system of record, so all updates or changes to roster data come to Elevate from Clever.
