The first action you'll take is getting Elevate connected with Clever. Connecting with Elevate allows the district to share relevant data in Clever with Elevate and enables single sign on (SSO). Connecting Clever to Elevate consists of the following two-step process to get up and running:
Add Elevate to Clever
Share Data from Clever to Elevate
The Clever platform provides unified access to learning applications for students, teachers, and administrators. It enables schools and districts to grant Single Sign On (SSO) access to K-12 applications, to ensure better security for student data, and to streamline the process of integrating and managing the applications used in the classroom.

Adding an Application (Clever article)
Clever is like a conduit for sharing a district’s student information with various applications, including Elevate. To set up sharing permissions for Elevate, you will go to the Elevate application’s overview page in Clever and click “Begin setup.” You’ll be able to choose from four sharing options, including using the Elevate application’s recommendation, copying sharing rules from another app, sharing all records in the district, or sharing records for specific schools.
Note: As a best practice, we encourage you to share only the grades and schools that will be testing in the platform, not the entire district. If you avoid “oversharing,” you can ensure that your teachers and staff not involved in the testing program do not receive emails to establish accounts in Elevate and that your test assignment and test status reports in Elevate are reflective of the true population of students you plan to test. |
After selecting your sharing type, you’ll move on to data validation before finalizing the setup.
