Domains

Domains in IowaFlex measure specific skills, knowledge, and achievements determined by the types of content and questions presented on the assessments.

Mathematics domains provide the option of choosing 3-5 of the skills available, which vary according to grades being tested. The image below shows all five domains selected for a grade 3 administration of IowaFlex Mathematics.

Student achievement levels for domains, including the summary bar graph and the Low/Mid/High Performers numbers and percentages to the right of it, are determined by scores on the domains as calculated by the NPR:

Low = 0 - 24

Mid = 25-74

High - 75 and above

As with the overall scores and performance-level bands on the test-level performance graph, you can select a score band on any of the available domains to isolate low, medium, or high performers.

All other domains and levels become inactive, and your selection is reflected on the summary scores, which show the SS and NPR of the selected group only, and the STUDENT ROSTER, which displays scores of all students who scored in the domain you selected.
