easyCBM publishers recommend administering measures online (direct computer entry from computerized tests) whenever possible in order to bypass individual manual entry for each student. This has the added benefit of making data available for immediate analysis and reporting.
If your district does not have the resources to test online, you will need to administer these measures as paper-and-pencil tests and then enter student responses manually into easyCBM.
Follow standard guidelines and your district's policies for administering and proctoring tests.
Use the measures decision tree, the online help table of contents (left), or the online help search tool to find specific information for setting up your test.
Defer to your district easyCBM administrator for testing policies in your district. These might include:
Monitoring students to help ensure a quiet and appropriate testing environment.
Noting if a student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) allows the student to have accommodations during testing. (These accommodations should be provided when taking the easyCBM assessments.)
Ensuring that students do not use a calculator during the math tests, unless a student’s IEP stipulates this as an accommodation or if a district policy encourages calculator use.
Providing students scratch paper during math tests.
